Challenge

The company is a leading pharmaceutical major that has been witnessing significant growth through several major acquisitions. In order to gain better visibility to and create greater collaboration between the varied R&D initiatives across the different silos, the company developed a central data platform with continous feeds from different independent R&D platforms in use across the organization. This included the need to continually ingest research data from a third party cloud based product.

Approach

The different capabilities of the AWS platform were leveraged to design and implement a quick, yet robust, micro-services architecture solution to ingest the third party product data via the APIs exposed by the product.Designed a flexible data store to enable continuous and fast consumption of ingested information by consuming processes.Designed the end-to-end process to enable rapid and reliable ingestion developed in a time-boxed manner

Outcome

The company was able to facilitate greater collaboration between different R&D teams.
