Challenge

The company is a leading cloud-based low-code SaaS platform for P&C insurance companies. While there is data generated and stored in the modules that the platform provides, several customers of the client's SaaS product suite felt the need to augment the platform with the data generated through their internal and other third-party systems. Given the significant diversity in data sources, document types, and data structures, the client was looking for a simple, yet flexible way to enable the ingestion of customer owned data into the suite.

Approach

An interface was designed and developed to ingest and manage the data in a structure agnostic manner. The interface enabled the customers to push their data both real-time and in batches. It also enabled customers to push updates to data ingested earlier. A simple interface to query the ingested data was developed to enable the consumption of the ingested data through the client's product suite.

Outcome

The quality of the solution offered by the client's product suite was greatly enhanced with the ability to utilize customer owned data in the process. This feature enabled the platform’s ability to provide deeper insights to the customers that utilized holistic data present in the platform along with internal data stored across client systems. The client was able to quickly release a key feature without the need for substantial changes to the product design.
